Dr. Audrey Seh Young Kim
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
My Approach:
When providing services to clients, I utilize an integrative approach, with a primary focus on cognitive behavioral therapy and third-wave therapies, especially Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based therapies. An integrative approach, to me, looks like paying close attention to both mind and body. This is crucial and essential in enhancing one’s psychological well-being because mind and body are inseparable and they affect each other so much. I approach every client with this concept of mind-body interconnectedness in mind. In the therapeutic space, I often incorporate my training in yoga/meditation and mindfulness to maximize the healing process.
Most importantly, I believe that without building good rapport with my clients, the effectiveness of psychological services decreases. I place great importance in making my clients feel understood and welcomed.
